Earlyact

Earlyact is a branch of the Interact Club that has launched at Blackheath and Thornburgh College. The club is made up of students from grades 4-7 and will be self governing (with the support of the Interact and Rotary Clubs). Earlyact provides students the chance to play an active role in their community and improve leadership and teamwork skills. Interact and Earlyact will work closely with Rotary International to help charities both in Australia and around the world.

Students will co-ordinate and plan events for the entire junior school community. Our goal is to raise money through the organising, planning and running of fundraising events to help charities that affect people on a local, national and international scale. Some examples of the events that Interact run to help charities include participating in Australia-wide events such as Shave 4 a Cure and National Bandanna Day as well as organising school discos, free dress days, wet days and more.

We have helped various charities and have aided in the funding of medical research, disease awareness programs, monetary donations to disaster relief funds and similar charities. Earlyact’s role will be to co-ordinate these events for the junior school. Students will decide what events and charities they would like to raise funds for.
